50 Inch Lcd Flat Screen Tv
I want a 50 inch ‘flat’ TV , what should I be looking for ?
besides a 50 inch flat tv heh
I mean, around 2002 the rage was Plasma TV’s and LCD tvs.
Now we have HD tvs etc, and I’m wondernig what the difference is between Plasma and HD.
Also, what should I look for when going for these type of TV’S ? i want it to be hung on the wall and the viewing distance will be no more than say, 3-4 meters away.
Any tips/hints on hwo to go abouts buying a tv like this ? What ‘extras’ and ‘wow technology’ could I ’sacrifice’ without losing out big time ? I want a good picture and the key here is a LARGE screen giving a LARGE picture and making me smile – nothing fancier than that. Quality has to be better than my current FLAT screen but Gigantic boxy Toshiba TV, the back end of that sticks out all the way to Tenerife !
So, I want a 50 inch ‘flat’ TV , what should I be looking for ?
Definitely a plasma.
At that screen size, even the best LCDs still suffer from the old ‘chicken wire’ effect (where the individual pixels are visible).
All the professional reviews still rate plasmas over LCDs for larger screens. Pick up a copy of any home cinema magazine and you’ll see what I mean.
